For this final portfolio, I decided to do a blend of my two proposals “City Walks” & “Natural Beauty”. I think they interact well with each other, showcasing both the architectural beauty as well as the natural beauty of Charleston, SC, aka “The Lowcountry”. The natural intersects with the manmade so well in this city, and it’s no wonder Charleston is one of the fastest growing cities, as well as being one of the most popular vacation destinations in the nation. For this project, I am inspired mostly by the drone work of Matthew Peacock, but also by the travel photography I did while in Europe, and the desire to reach back into that state of mind I would have exploring new cities. After having lived here for over a year now, getting back to that exploratory mindset, wandering around just taking in scenery.
